Front leak 964 c4 1989

Hello i noticed this morning in my garage a drop of red fluid from the front of my C4. Is that fluid from the sterring rack or the transfer case. I didint jack up the car yet...

I would suspect its steering fluid. The 89 C4 AWD and brake fluid would be the same system and thus the same color. What color is your brake fluid in the reservoir?

Sounds like steering fluid.. hopefully just a simple hose change...
