1990 964 shifter tube sleeve installation question

Pelicans,
I have a 1990 964 and I am installing the shifter tube sleeves, one at each end of the tube. Part number is 964-424-224-01. Each sleeve is concave on one end, can anyone help with the correct installation of the concave side of the sleeve ? The Pelican Parts diagram reference the 91 and up redesigned sleeve.

Thank you for the great reply, Just what I needed.
What suggestions would you have for grease type for the shifter tube ?
I was going to you white lithium for the ball cup bushing.

Use something like disc brake grease for the guide tube, and white grease for the bushings. Don't lube the nylon cups, they just pop back on on their own.
