Are you talking about the "idiot light" on the dash or your actual brake lights?

samokin-
The big '!' lights come on along with the brake lights while im driving. It goes on and off whenever i hit a bump or sometimes just while im cruising. Im thinking its something to do with the wires. Bear in mind that I've only own the car for five months, still dont know much about it. I dont know what idiot' light that you are refering to on the dash board but I sure hope that you dont have one on your dash board.

-just tryin to fix this annoying prob.

Sasaki,

An "idiot light" is any light on the dash, other than a guage that gives you an actual measurement (Like the oil level guage), that usually comes on to tell you about a problem *after* it has happened.

It sounds to me like you have a faulty contact on your emergency brake switch. It should be located somewhere in your cover boot. (I'm assuming you have checked break fluid level and found it to be normal.)

Just a thought... I'm assuming that your brake pedal feels normal during brake application and that your car stops normally.

Hello

If it is the central warning light and you have to quit it with the switch then just visit any local Porsche shop and have them look for your brake system ASAP. Better now then later.

Brake fluid level is checked and it was filled to the top. I took a peek at it, but Im not sure how to check for the worns in the pads. I guess its time to take it to the shop to get it checked out. I was hoping that i could fix the problem myself. probably a faulty in the ebrake wires.

-big thanks to everyone that replied.

Which light did you say comes on intermittently?

There are actually three functional lights and one general warning light "!".

Brake Pressure/Fluid Level = "BRAKE"
Problems:
Brake Fluid Pressure Differential in Hyd. Circuit
Brake Pressure Switch Failure
Low fluid in Brake Reservoir
Low Fluid Switch (Switch State: Normally Closed with full fluid)
Sensor circuit for Brake Reservoir open

2. Brake Wear = “symbol looks like a brake drum and shoes?”
Circuit State: Normally Closed Loop
Problems:
Brake sensor bridge wire worn through or broken
Brake sensor wire harness open condition

3. Parking Brake = "PARKING BRAKE"
Switch State: Normally open
Problems:
Parking Brake Switch adjustment
