Haze on newly waxed car
I just got my car back from a full detail/polish.
However, after a week (and it rained) there has been a haze that develops on the doors right underneath the side mirrors. I was told by my detailer that its because my paint job is really old (its a 12 year old car with no repaint) and the haze comes up from the old clear coat. He tried to polish it out during the detail but guess it didn't really work. And it doesn't appear anywhere else on the car. Has anyone experienced this before? Is what my detailer telling me true? Thanks! BB

I'm not an expert but that's what it sounds like. I had an 82 931 years and the alpine white paint let go. I could hand glaze and wax it to get it shiny but it would cloud up within a couple of weeks.
Not familiar with the difference in paint on 993s. Surprised that happened on the doors and not the roof first. No repaint on your car? |

Any solutions? Other than repainting the doors... BB
