993 aluminum shift knob assistance please

After looking for almost 2 years for a factory aluminum shift knob, I finally found one for sale and bought about 6 months ago with the idea of giving to my Dad as a birthday gift for his 97. When we went to install it, we realized it was missing the metal rectangular piece that extends from the round shaft with an allen head bolt and attaches to the square shaft from the car. I was just told that Porsche does not sell this part. Does anyone have one they want to sell or know of a source where I might be able to obtain one? The aluminum knob and black leather pouch are perfect, but unfortunately we cannot use it without this piece. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

In comparing to a complete aluminum shift knob, this missing piece appears to be a complex one that would be difficult to replicate. Furthermore, it is not a separate piece that Porsche provides a part number two, nor do they sell it.

I've attached two pictures to better show what we are needing - this from a friends 993 turbo.

We would even be interested in purchasing a damaged unit where we could take this part from if anyone has one they want to sell.
