Loebro or Porsche axle shafts
Considering new axle shafts for my 1994 C4 Carrera. Loebro OK or Genuine Porsche?

GKN/Loebro is the OEM supplier. I would not waste money on the genuine Porsche part here.

GKN have two aftermarket brand names Spidan and Löbro and there are no differences in products supplied with either brand marking.
As Scott has explained GKN were the original parts supplier to Porsche. We always use a GKN part as a replacement as some of the low cost joints that are now available have a half-life about 2 hours. |

What about Pelican? That is where I buy my CV joints, etc.

Why are you looking to buy new axles? If you just need CVs rebuilt/new boots there are plenty of places that can rebuild.

I used Constant Velocity of Ocala to rebuild my '89 C4, no problems, good service, forget what I paid but cheaper than new.

I've never priced an axle - unfortunately my cars don't make enough power :-) but I imagine they are substantially more than the $75 or so it costs for a rebuild. CVJ Axle in Denver has done several (Audi, not Porsche) for me over the years. 24 hr turn, or you can do it on exchange for less downtime.....but I'm sure there is a place close by you wherever you are....
