Opinion on current value of prospective buys...
Hello, I am still on the hunt for my first Porsche and am primarily looking at 993 coupes or 964 coupes/cabs in a manual. I found a few in the state I am considering and as you can see, they vary in quality and even type.
I want to get another current feel for what people on the forum think of these in terms of value after taking feedback on a 74' I went to go see last week. That feedback was helpful even after hours of reading older threads on this and other forums (as you can probably tell by the hour this was posted). Thank you for any comments. Have you driven an example of these cars? Quite different than a 74. I can't comment on relative values but suffice it to say that 993/964s usually need suspension work, as the struts, bushings, drop links, steering racks, boots etc., frequently need attention after (+-) 20 years....and the fact is many examples haven't had any work done on those components. When I was looking for and driving a number of 993s, I found literally all of them required work in this area, including the one I eventually bought. I also own an 85 and the relative complexity of the cars is quite dramatic. Anyway good luck in the hunt.

Repost this in the Marketplace forum. Much more active than this subforum and really the proper place to discuss these cars and their value. You will get much more help and answers.
