On board computer display.
 

964 C4 1992, were the on-board computer display in the tach has started playing up on start up the last two months. Half digit displays, weak display, etc. Usually corrects itself, sometime a quick tap on the actual screen does it. Not a big issue, but has anyone had the same problem? Any fixes? Greatful for any tips before I remove the tach to investigate.

Never mind. Found a good link on BergvillFX complete w pictures, most likely faulty transistor controlling display light. Looks like that's the problem.
