Qestion on the Oil Cooler and Air Con
Dear all, I am planning to have an upgrade of the air-con of my 964, since we are live in Hong Kong the summer time really a challenge for us, we have reviewed the Griffiths the air con expert for Porsche, is there any other member have the experience on Kuehl's 964 Evaporator and condenser?
Besides, I am also try to see any good alternative on the control of the oil temperature, which i saw a lot of forum there is 2 best solution (i) to ensure the fan of the oil condenser is work properly or enhanced to supply enough airflow to cool it down; or (ii) to add one more oil cooler condenser to increase the cooling effect. Basic on my limited knowledge, I think the first option shall be cheap and reasonable, however when consider the hot weather in the Asia region, I am wonder do we need to merge both options? Which mean to have fans enhanced the airflow for the oil cooler, at the same time add one more oil cooler condenser. Really looking for the sharing of the experience. ![]() |

I'm certainly no expert on the oil cooling enhancements, but I do remember reading and hearing that you do need to give consideration to a *potential* reduction in oil pressure if you add a centre oil cooling radiator, obviously not a good thing.
I would work with Chris at TurboKraft; they run their cars in the Arizona desert heat of >40ºC, so if anyone knows how to keep them cool, he will!
