supercharge 964

HI, I was thinking about that too, searched for info, but found precious little on the board, do know that TPC claims that their supercharger works well and read an article in excellence about it, Also a fellow in Tn does this work, it seems to run about 7 k for parts, which leads me to the next issue, whether it would be better to just swap the engine out for a 993, or go with a protomotive turbo...

Do a search on TPC or supercharger in Rennlist, both in the 964 and 993 Forums. Strong opinions both ways about doing the conversion.

Another suggestion is to contat TPC and ask them to recommend a shop in your area. I did and contacted the shop. Labor is about $3-4,000 depending on if you install an intercooler. It was good to talk to the owner and get his opinion about the conversion. The shop will obviously want your business so ask questions to see what they have to say about the install, performance and if there are any problems afterwards.

If I was really serious, I would ask the owner to connect me with some of his customers. I am sure they will be happy to talk to you and maybe let you drive their 964/993.

Forgot to post this...

Found this site the other day. Note that the TPC install was done back in 2002. I read that TPC made some changes since then but don't know exactly what.

http://instant-g.com/Cars/BlauCarrera/BlauCharger/index.html

You may want to give them a call. Main site is instant-g.com.

Good luck....Ron

Colin Belton at Ninemeister or 9m Racing in the UK has considerable experience with supercharging 964's.

Try their web site on http://www.porschetuning.co.uk/ there's some interesting stuff on it.
