I am a new owner of an 1999 C4. I have discovered a dead battery since sitting over the past month. I am able to get in to the car through the door, but am not able to activate the front or rear hatch releases.
Is there a proper sequence for this unlock or is somthing disfunctional? My owners manual is in the trunk as well. Thanks for the advice. GP |

Hello
use the cigaretelighter socket to trickle charge the battery or maybe try it direct with socketpower. Will not work on BMW´s. Grüsse |

Your alarm must have been set when the battery died - when this happens the trunk levers are locked down. There are several ways to get the trunk open. As already suggested, charge the battery through the lighter socket. Jeff

If you are going to leave your car for long periods, get a battery maintainer installed. It's not a good idea to allow 996 batteries to go dead.
