1995 993 Tiptronic Problem

Hi Guys,
Im hoping some helpful 993 owner can point me in the right direction for the weekends chores.
I have a new problem with my Tiptronic Transmission.
The transmission works fine in manual mode on the shifter and on the steering wheel but will not move out of gear 2 when in auto.
The box was acting a little eratic about 20 miles before it current state.
It would stall moving up or down and hold the gear and not really move into 4th despite how high the revs were.
I have changed the ATF , screen and gasket and tried disconnecting the battery to try and rest the box, but none of the remedies have cured the problem
What next ?
Has anybody come across a similar problem.
Many thanks

I'd like to suggest you do a Google search on the following, to see if anyone has replicated your question/issue.

porsche 993 tiptronic shifting issue(s)

If it flows, it goes. If its smooth, it moves. Any questions?

Check your battery level / alternator. It was my problem when I had similar issues with my 964 Tip.
