I understand the seat backs are interchangable left to right. If they are, what do I have to do to change them? I've had the cover plates off the sides, and the four bolts off, but there seems to be a rod running all the way through the seat backs. And what is the wire that runs from the seat back to under the seat?
I have a 91 C2 Coupe with dual power seats, no memory. |

Hello
Seatbacks are built symetrical. The wires run to the motor(s) and the heating elements and the "rods" are maybe the drive cables runig down to the drivegear ? Grüsse |

Hi Roland.
"Heating elements"? Pardon my ignorance, but were the heated seats only available on the coupes? I don't remember seeing anything in my owner's manual about them, but seem to remember reading something about heating seats when the side mirror heater switch is activated, but maybe not for cabriolets.

Hello
heatet seats where aviable with standard and sportseats design. Aviable in part and in full electric and with any fabric. Optioncodes are M139 and M340 The operation from the heating elements should be shown in your manual under the seat section or you can find it on the net ( serch 944/951/928/993 pages as well ) Grüsse |
