Porsche CD2 Radio Code help

Hello all,

I'm looking to restore my factory stereo after uninstalling an aftermarket AMP and headunit. I picked up a used CD2 which shows "Onkyo" on the back. Of course I have no cd code, curious as to the best way to go about getting it or if anyone on here wants to make a couple bucks to get me a working code.

Heres photos of the serial and number stamped on the unit:

PM me or email me at fastturbo@comcast.net

S/NO PO CD 2 M01 16410

Thank you!

Matt

Hi Matt - take a look at the link below to an earlier thread where this is discussed. A member is listed as someone who can assist with getting the code - I would suggest sending them a PM. Best of luck!

Thanks I did search and saw that thread but when I went to the member rixster it appears he hasn't logged on since 2013.

Some members have their PM alerts sent to their email, it's worth a shot to see if this is the case with 'rixster'.

I once Googled Porsche CD2 radio code and either an EBay link or online link to a company that takes your serial number and sends you a code for a small fee , can't recall how much , got my unit to clear though..

I took mine into the dealer, they provided code at no charge..

You took the radio or the entire car? This radio is not original one that came with this car.

just took the radio, bought it on Craigslist.. they would have liked to know year and model it came out of as that would have taken about thirty seconds off the two minutes it took to look it up but they were able to do it by serial number alone
