Bad window regulator?
When my passenger window is a couple of inches open 5-6” and I push the up it goes down instead...I think my regulator is going bad. The window goes all the way up when I roll all the way down and then push up. My car is a 987, but there is more info and wealth of information on this forum...
Is it possible to lubricate the regulator? How do they fail? I appreciate any advice and experiences. The thing that puzzled me was that the window goes reverse when I try to raise it from half open, but after thinking a while I think it is because the regulator is “binding up” or creates increased resistance.

No response.
Here is what happened: I ordered a new regulator, took apart, realized my regulator was wrong side (seller errror, not from our host- lesson learned), lubricated the heck out of tracks and rollers with silicon grease with old regulator installed. So far everything works fine. So Yes! You can can extend the life of your regulator. I’ll see how long this ‘repair’ works.
