2005 997 starts on warm days but not on cold days

Has anyone had your 997 not start when outside temp is colder than 40 degrees Fahrenheit? Brand new battery, she cranks but won't turn over. Leave it in the sun to warm up and by days end it will start and I can drive it shut it off, restart no problem.
what's the fix?

Crank position sensor going bad will have that symptom
When it doesn’t start, does the tach needle bounce when you are cranking the motor?
If no bounce, it’s the CPS
If it does bounce, it’s likely fuel pressure related
