The cheapest 996 in Aus'
I know this is cliche title, but I did in fact buy the cheapest Porsche 911, manual, coupe in the country.

congrats! Looks like a solid 996. Personally I found my 2001 C4 one of the best handling Porsches I've ever owned.

I am enjoying mine. I have definitely found it a lot lighter in the front end, particularly compared to my old S5, but I am really enjoying. Super stable in the corners.

We have had the 996 for a few weeks now, but it is finally time for Mrs Jeff's first drive and she can give us her impressions of it.

Continuing on my quest to sort out Archie, the 996, to make it the best daily driver I can, I am adding a new double din head unit with Apple Carplay and a back up camera.

I need to fix up a few things and service Archie the 996 before my road trip to the Bathurst 12 hour race.

I finally get to give Archie a shakedown road trip and head up to camp at the Bathurst 12 hour, and get beaten up by the heat.

All of the knowledgeable IMS retrofit companies will tell you to never reuse an IMS bearing after is has been extracted, or attempted to extract, for this exact reason. Once it is stressed and loaded, it has to come out and be replaced.

People freak out about these bearings and if I wasn't doing videos, I would have just left it in there and not touched it. Jeff
