996 turbo mezger engine build specs?

Hi All,

Hope you're well. I'm taking on the rebuild of a 996 Turbo engine (with my professional engine builder friend...i'm not a wizard!), but I've drawn a blank on the build specs....Looks like if you take your motor to Porsche they give you a new long block, so even in the 2000 page technical document we have, it doesn't have specs...

Specifically we're looking for:

- What are the running clearances on the valves – exh / in
- What is the piston to bore clearance?
- What are the specs for the cam / crank / IMS journals, running clearances and thrusts?
- What are follower wear limits / running clearances?
- What are the oil pump clearances?

I've done a forum search and can't find anything either....

Thanks in advance for any help you can give or anyone who'd know we can get in touch with.

If you are going to increase the boost pressure you will need to deviate from Porsche clearance spec's
