997.2 Air Filter Change
I admit I have NO mechanical knowledge.... I am trying to change the air filters on my 2009 911 C4S (997.2). I have removed the eight screws that hold the air cleaner cover in place. But for the life of me I can't figure out how to disconnect the sensor from the left side of the cover.
I watched a DYI video and it looked simple, but I can't seem to figure out how to unlatch the sensor from the cover and I don't want to break the bracket. Could some kind person inlighten me on how it's done? Much thanks! lortone |

Are you talking about this sensor?
![]() If so, there is a tab on top of sensor that runs front to back. It passes thru the two black ribs (I.e. bracket) that hold it in place. The black ribs are attached to air filter cover. Pull up on the end of tab that is away from you; towards front of car. The tab will snap lose and the sensor can be pulled free and set aside.
