997 sway bar question
I have a 2007 997 C2 and am looking to upgrade the front and rear sway bars. What will fit?
I assume 997 GT2 and GT3 bars will work, but what about C4S or 997TT? Will the AWD sway bars fit on a C2? Will the drop links work? I have seen several sets of nice used bars for sale, but want to be sure that they will work. Thanks, Dan in NC 704-993-8335 cell |

Hit up Tarett Engineering. They make versions of the GT3/2 bars and can tell you the right diameter bushings and required drop links.
Also, definitely want to remove your cell… robots can see it. |

To clarify, I want to install good used "take-off" bars from a 997 GT2, GT3 or turbo that has been upgraded. I see sets for sale here regularly.

So then, generally speaking, the difference between the 996/997C2 sway bar and a GT3 sway bar is the diameter and the outside curve. They are designed to fit the same chassis but with a different suspension setup. So, in my case to fit 996 GT3 sway bars to a 996 C2, I required different bushings front and rear and adjustable links for the front. The rear OEM links only worked because I have Ohlins coilovers. If I was running OEM suspension, I would need adjustable links for the rear too. The 997C2 to 997 GT3 will be the same. But, the all wheel drive for Turbo/GT2/C4S will likely be too different to be cost effective.
