996 Porsche classic stereo

Had one installed by Rod at Hof interiors. Love the system. Works great and has all the function of a modern car. Looks great in the car.

I did a pretty good amount of research and nowhere did I ever see any possibility of incorporating a rear view camera. So I have to say that isn’t an option.

Would be a great upgrade.

A rear view camera and a Sirius/ Xm radio option would be very cool

So it does come with Sirius radio. I believe there is an extra cost for that option I didn’t get it as I just stream music. Not sure of the cost

Just thought of something, I have the XM radio app, I wonder if I can just stream that to the radio?

Yes you can use the Apple Carplay app to do that.

Has anyone done the rear camera on this system yet?

I had the $&*$#$&* dealer put one in my Cayenne. Now I don’t receive the AM band.

The excuse I got was “AM radio doesn’t work well in LA.”

I guess our 50,000 watt stations which can be heard in Canada and Mexico skip over the LA basin.

I opened up a case with Porsche of North America who too,d me to take the vehicle back to the dealer for a third time to address.

I am not comfortable with this particular dealer at this point. I may go to another dealer to address. Unfortunately the distance is inconvenient
