Cam Deviation and other issues -PLEASE HELP!!

Long story short. Car has a cam deviation, in an attempt to fix this I replaced the camrails, and solenoids and retimed the cams with the porsche tool.

1999 996-IMSHas been replaced

Before I did this I did not have a durametric, I was told by a shop about the cam deviation.

Car still idles super rough, runs fine besides the CEL

I have been chasing this issue for about 6 months on and off. Since the rails and solenoids I have replaced the AOS Tubing, all the vacuum hoses, the breather valve, vaccuum check valve, the cam position sensors, and most recently the air idle control valve.

I dont have a trusted shop nearby as Im newer to Knoxville TN. I have taken to a couple places that just want to complete a full rebuild at 10k+. They have no good reason to tell me whay they recommed this except for the shops peace of mind....

Not sure where to go here? I'm wondering if I really screwed the cam timing on bank 2?

I appreciate any help.

How about starting with year and model and engine. IMSB can impact cam deviation as well, so driving the car should be stopped until this is resolved.

Have you looked up anyone in your local PCA Region for assistance or reference to a knowledgeable indie shop?
The codes can often be misleading and not clearly nail the problem.
Sorry I can’t be more help.

With bank #2 more than 20 degrees off, you may have a mechanical cam timing issue that is going to require reallocation of all of the cams. The bigger question is how it got this far out of wack, 21 degrees is nearly two teeth off on the cam chain.................
