Hi everyone, I’m seeking advice on my Porsche 996.1. After the battery died during extended storage, I replaced it, but I’ve noticed a couple of issues:
-The radio and A/C controls will not turn on. -The driver’s side window won’t roll down the last inch. The battery was jump-started with a lithium battery and ran briefly before the car was turned off, and then it wouldn’t start again. A new battery has been installed, and all fuses appear to be in good condition. I'm concerned that the jump-start may have caused some electrical issues. I noticed the hazard lights came on when I applied external power from a friend's car, but the engine would not turn over, which led me to replace the battery. Any suggestions on where to begin troubleshooting these electrical problems? Thanks in advance! |

Re the window-there is a proceedure to re-train your window lift system. I went through this after replacing lift parts on my 99. Go over to the Rennlist 996 forum and inquire there or do a search there.
