WOWOW look at this oiling upgrade for tracking!
I just realized I had a second e-mail address that I did not even know about. I was looking through and saw that PMNA had responded to my e-mail about the oil scavenge update for 996s. Bit of background there is apparently issues with heavily tracked cars and oil accumulating in the rocker area in long high G corners. The fix was to machine the valve cover add a scavenge pump and some plumbing.
I think this was a kit developed for the Grand am racers whcih are fairly stock motors... Anyway, I figureds the kit was $$$$ to my shock the response said the kit was only $1395!!! Not chump change but nothing like I was expecting. Unfortunately the -email went on to say the kit was not availble any longer and was only for the 99-2001 cars. Surely the big 996 shops have replicated it, possibly for even less? Interesting that they discontinued after 01' is the issue no longer a problem? Cant imagin as many non dry sump cars have this problem. Any body have any more details?

I've not heard of this fix. A wrench at my local shop mentioned an upgrade in the $5-7K range. He didn't mention it being year-specific though.
