"Purchasing a 997 Cab"
I have an 87' Targa and I love the car. I plan on keeping it because I am a bit nostalgic. I am now interested in purchasing a 2006-2007 "997" Cab. Should I put much emphasis on whether it is an "S" or whether it has the Sport Chrono package? Money is not an obstacle. I just want to justify how I spend the money. It took some time for me to adjust to the new Porsche look as far as the outside of the car. The interior, I can definitely adjust to. Please let me know what to look out for. Your help is much appreciated.

S is where it is at. In the used market the difference in price should only be about 5k or so and it is more than worth it. Sport Chrono is a waste of time on all 911s excluding the turbo range(overboost feature). at this point you can get a CPO car and extend the warranty another 2 years, that is what i would recommend at least.
Some will swear by the sport button as it lightens the throttle a bit... i think it is all smoke and mirrors(i sell them btw). |

This is what I purchased for $92,000.00 after all associated fees. The selling price was $88,000.00. It was probably not a good deal or a bad deal. I could have done without many of the options, but who knows. (Car has 3200 miles.)
