Squeaky clutch bearing... or?

Happy New Year all.
My 1999 996 has a squeak that occurs after it's been sitting unused for awhile. It changes sound slightly when I push the clutch in. After driving the car awhile the noise disappears.
Car has 70K miles... Throw-out bearing already? Anything else that could do that?

Thanks!!
Howard

The noise may also be from the release fork or the slave if coming from the outside of the car. The slave will make the noise from the end of the shaft being worn. Most likely it is from the fork or release bearing and should be replaced with the clutch kit as a whole.

Another noise that is common with the clutch is from the inside of the car. This would be from the pivot points of the clutch pedal. You can try and lube them first.

These parts in both areas have been updated.

Best Regards,
Scott Slauson
