2002 996 turbo fault code p0013

Ive been getting CEL lately and when I plugged in a durametric diagnostic tool, it state "P0013 camshaft position actuator switch open circuit". I reset the fault code and it went away. AFter driving for a few miles, the CEL turned on again.

I checked the harness for any loose connectors and cut wires and couldnt find one.

Even when the CEL is on, the car still runs normal, quick, torqy and fast. Will I damage the engine if I continue to drive it with the CEL?

Can someone help me how to fix this problem. Thank you
