Going catless with a 3.4

As you might have noticed from sig, I don't own a 996, but have a 996 3.4 engine in my Boxster.

I put on an exhaust system after the conversion (with cats) that I am not happy with. The person who did the conversion programmed the engine to not need cats, so I'm about to take the plunge on a Fabspeed catless system, from headers to muffler.

Any experience going catless with a 3.4? I've heard in some places that I might actually lose power, since the engine requires a little backpressure.

Any thoughts are welcome.

Catless

I run a track only 996 with just straight pipes. You may loose a little Tq on the low end but once your up on the V cam, I don't think it matters much.
