Porsche Crest Rear wing fitment ?? 996 C2 vs C4S

What is the difference in fitment between a 996 C2 rear engine cover and a 996 C4S engine cover?

I want to fit a duck tail on a 996 C4S.

Can one meant for a 996 C2 be modified to fit a C4S?

Thanks in advance for your help w this. Please post your reply for everyone to see.

Len

Well, the differences seem to be with the center reflector only. The C4S has one, the others do not.

So.....here goes a lot of $ out of pocket just to see if this can be done.

I bought a used Ruf Duck Tail similar to this one shown on the Ruf web site that only fits the 996................

I will also buy a stock 996 C4S engine lid from salvage that I can use as a base.

A good friend who is an expert in fiberglass is going to make this Duck Tail fit the C4S lid.

When done I will post a photo of the results.

Porsche Crest

Only place that makes them is Ruf. It is part of their RGT package.

A few years back I bought the complete RGT body kit (Less the Black Wing) for a customer, but it was never installed. Still have it as NOS, but don't want to break up the package just for an experiment.

The duck tail described in my first post I bought used, and will try to fit it to the C4S.

I will post the results.
