Shift Selector Removal?

Hello

I have a 2000 996 Cabriolet with tiptronic transmission. The leather handle on my gear shift selector (the part on the center console which you press the button to shift gears) is worn and I want to replace it. Can anyone tell me how to remove this shift selector?

It will snap out by pushing it forward. Be prepared to catch a small spring that puts pressure on the button when you push it down to shift. You can remove the handle by pulling out a small clip that will be exposed when you removed the button.
