intermix problem with 996

hello , i need some advice, i have 1999 996, few days ago i lost coolant in system, as i later fined out it got into oil, i bring car to Porsche center they think problem is oil cooling radiator, did anybody had such problem? do you know what it can be if not this radiator? can it be oil/air separator? please advice

Intermix issues caused by the oil cooler are not that uncommon. If it is the oil cooler, they can pull it and pressure test it to confirm.

sorry to hear about your problem.
I wonder if I got lucky when I noticed a coolant leak.

let say so they are still testing, now it seams that we are losing Oil , oil level went down. is it normal? what it cam mean??

The oil cooler had about 1/2 qt in it when removed.

Use a bore scope to look into the cylinder thru the sparkplug hole for any cracks in the cylinders.

From a 3.6 -- Not sure how easy this would be to see from a boroscope -- but certainly worth the try.

see post #6 for a common type of crack in the head. 1 - 3 side most often. These can be repaired. see post #5

I am Back, and again same problem, crack in the head, on first cylinder. exactly same as shown above, today I am taking it for welding lets see.
