When does ims failure happen?
I'm curious as to when , at what mileage , does IMS failure USUALLY happen? In other words can I at 43,000 miles breath a bit easier? Probably not but I value your opinions.

At any mileage. Cars that are driven frequently and run in a "spirited" manner seem to resist failure a little better than garage queens. Take than thing to redline once in a while (once it's fully warmed up).

If you read all the reports on the net, IMS failure occurs 120% of the time, 100% of the time.
