I have a 2001 996 Turbo. When the gas tank is full I can smell gasoline vapors. Not the case with a partially filled tank. The location of the odor seems to be from the right wheel well area. The gas cap gasket is in good shape. I have no problem with filling the tank. Could it be related to the Fuel Filler Vent/Bleeder Valve? Upon removing the wheel liner, I see no obvious cracks in the valve or Charcoal filter. Any help would be most appreciated.
