2001 996 Cabriolet for Parts 6-speed
I have a 2001 996 C2 Cabriolet 6-spd that I am going to begin parting out.
The car is complete with some new parts. The engine is probably shot, but I will know more by the end of the week. The car has a true 60,675mi on it, so mechanicals are sound. Let me know what you need and we can discuss prices. I am VERY reasonable, I want the parts gone sooner rather than later. Cheers

Clarification on 2001 996 Cabriolet for parts
I've replied to FirstPorsche in a PM, but since his request was actually the third such request I've received to buy the whole car I thought some clarification was in order.
This car looks nice in this photo, but believe me it is a "10 - footer". The car has a Salvage title due to a right-front collision. A rather crude and quick repair was performed long before I purchased the car for some parts I needed. The "repairer" replaced the damaged panels with good used panels, and replaced the radiators with what I believe are new off the shelf Behr radiators. However the damage under the skin was not properly repaired and it is not difficult to spot the damage. I really wouldn't feel good putting someone in this car that thought they were going to get it back on the road. This car is a documented 60K mi car so I do look forward to getting the good mechanical parts back out on the market to help out the community. I believe this is the best way this car can contribute to the Porsche community, but if someone insists on buying the entire car I won't stand in their way. As it sits today I would ask $6000 for the complete car. I have received a number of interest emails for parts so I do suspect the parts will start going away soon. Let me know what you need, As I said in my previous post I am very reasonable on parts and I want to get this car out there. |

Sorry if I missed it, but what area of the country is the car? Is the transmission good? How much for the transmission?

I'm in the Seattle area.
The transmission is in good, and it's ready to go. I've looked around at prices, and I think I'd like to get about $2000 for the trans. I think that is a pretty great price for a 60K mi trans. Let me know if you want it |

The maddeningly complex answer to that is - Maybe.
The guy I bought the car from said he had the headlight at his house and would get it to me, but now he isn't retuning calls, so I can't say for sure I have it. I'll reach out to him again and see if I can get my hands on it. |

Do you still have the convertible top cover(fabric covered piece over the auto roll bars part number 996 555 083 02)? If so, how much and what condition is the overall condition? I am not concerned with the fabric as i can get it recovered. I am more concerned with the plastic and aluminum under structure.
