996 Mk1/Mk2 Front End Differences
 

Aside from the headlights and bumper covers, what was changed on the front for 2002? Are the fenders actually different and will 02 headlights fit in 99-01 fenders? Will Boxster fenders, either pre or post 2002 accept Mk2 996 headlights?

PS: I am looking for a MK2 bumper cover (prefer Guards Red) and headlights...

Bumpers are a bit differents.

Backside of the bumper , MK2 has a frame behind the air scoops.

Mk1 not.

I have 996.2 Turbo headlights for sale.

I'm not positive but my understanding is the fenders are also a bit different. Had my C4S and Boxster parked next to each other this weekend and the shapes do seem a tad different. Make sure to double check before dropping cash on lamps and a bumper cover.

Not really a good angle to capture differences, but maybe it's useful.

The fenders are different. The headlight trays are as well. I am looking to buy a right fender and a left tray.

Also need the air inlet grille PN 996-505-561-02-01C 02-04 Tip. The manual one might work as well.
