When I bought my 99 C4 it came a set of Champion RG19's mounted with Toyo's. The rear wheels were
rear 11 x 19 offset 68, tires 295/30 ZR19
front 8 x 19 offset 46, tires 235/35ZR19.
There are wear and rub marks and holes on the rear inner fender liners, no apparent damage to the tires when I replaced them. Front tires rub on the liners a bit when crossing a slope, like into my side hill drive way.

The new tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE050A. We had to go to 285's on the rear the 295 only had about 1/4 inch clearance to line and 1/2 to the front trailing link. Tire flex was letting the tire rub and wear in the sidewalls was showing after 100 miles.
Changing to 285's gave us a little more but 11's are wide for 285 tires.

The Champions and Potenzas weigh about 11 pounds less per corner than the Tirerack Twists and Blizzaks I have for winter use.

Thanks for the help. What I'm getting from this is they will work if you stretch a 285 around the rim. That sounds good and the pic looks great. I am trying to get the strong stance of a wide body but don't want to do a bunch of suspension work yet.

The car has the M030 suspension option and H&R sports springs also.
Find a tire shop that will work with you on tires if there are fit problems.
The Firestone shop I use in Lacey, WA has been great.
