Passenger window doesn't stay bumped down when closing

Just started having an issue where the sealing feature on the passenger window drops when the handle is pulled but immediately goes back up with released. Microswitch issue or something easier to fix?

I had the exact same problem with mine. It's most likely the alarm system module. It controls the alarm, central locking system and 10 mm window thing amongst other electronic ****. I've read that a Porsche dealer has the ability to attempt a "re-set" of the module but in my case the module had to be replaced. There's lots of horror stories on threads about this getting very expensive but it is only supposed to be about an hours labour (for the module switch out under the drivers seat) and then the coding of the new module to the car. Unfortunately this can only be done by a Porsche dealer. The module costs $660 CDN and like I said before about an hour to two labour to get it programmed to the vehicle. It should be done sooner than later because in my case things started to fail over time. First the alarm, then the door locks, then finally the 10mm drop feature. I would take it to a shop for diagnosis to be sure BEFORE you take it to Porsche... This is just my opinion about the dealerships if you know what I mean.

This can also be caused by a faulty DOOR LOCK MODULE

You can usually tell when the door lock module is bad, by comparing the feel of the clasp side to side...usually a bad lock module will have a sloppy feel, with weak spring tension.

Just had this same problem and repaired this week. It's the lock module. You'll need to replace the existing one and you should be good to go. It's about $250 for the part shipped. Check out this video for a good how to.

Do you have a link to the part you purchased? Thanks
