Hi I have a 997. Recently my ac started making a hissing noise and it has stopped cooling. Hissing only happens when fan is on. Will it be a simple Regis or does it sound more sinister?
Thanks in advance for any advice
Chris

Sounds like it has sprung a leak. Usually this hissing I've found to be from a leaking evaporator.

If you do indeed find that a new evaporator is needed, we have them here: Porsche 996 (1999-2005) - Air Conditioning & Vents - Page 3.
