996 Center Console Hinge Kit Repair

Does anyone have some kind of detailed instructions for the 2001 996 Center Console Hinge Repair Kit? I'm purchasing on Pelican but only see the exploded view.

I believe Renntech has a DIY on it. When I did mine it was a case of going slow and looking at things. Then some head scratching and thinking. The hinge pin does have knurling on one end so you have to watch what side you push it out to.

Jeez, I wish I had this info a couple of months ago when I did mine. Got it done, but couldn't figure out how to put the spring back. Mine no longer operates with a spring

I found four screws; one under the shift bezel, two under the ash tray, one inside the console it self. I still can't remove the console.

What am I missing?
