My new AOS looks nothing like the oem

I started to swap my AOS, when I got to the point where I could clearly see it, my replacement part looks nothing like the part that's installed. The part # I received from pelican parts for my 07 997 911 C4S is 996 107 080 54 m100.

Not surprising, as they often sell aftermarket parts as “OEM”. You should also be aware that the aftermarket AOS have a terrible reliability history......

I have the wrong part. I went back to the website and cross referenced the part #. It comes back as correct.

The part number you listed is for the air oil separator inside the oil sump, not the one that sits on the side of the engine. It is an AOS, but not the one you need.
