I'm in ATF hell - help please
have a 2002 996 nb.
local Porsche dealer will only sell ATF in 20 liter containers and wont help me find 1L containers. read several posts online and found these fluids: - Shell ATF 3403-m115 *doesnt seem to be avail anymore - Fuchs 3353 plus * same as titan!? - 000-043-207-00-M210 * sent to me by pelican parts but comes up at a 99-01 ATF - 000-043-304-01-M850 *found it myself on this site AKA Titan ATF so, I plan to get the 000-043-304-01-M850. Can someone confirm this is the right one? Also, I have a durametric (somewhere), does it show the ATF temperature properly or am I better off getting a temp probe? Thanks! |

Here is the DIY to change the Tiptronic ATF, I used the 20L Pentosin ATF 1 , Porsche Pn 000.043.207.00 this is enough to do your can annually as long as you own it. I have purchased other fluid that is an acceptable substitute, See VW AUDI PN G052 162 A2 its like $11.00-16.00 per qt. and it takes like 5-7 QTS on a typical drain and fill.
Board Message Call Rick at Suncoast Motorsports for ATF and other parts you will need for this procedure. 877-923-1700 parts@suncoastmotorsports.com You will need a pan gasket, a filter and misc. o-rings for the drain and fill plug. It's not that difficult once you have done it one time. Takes about 1 hr. approx. Dennis |
