P1123,1125 errors

Hi Guys,

Anyone successfuly resolve P1123,1125 errors causing check engine light? After having the Timing tensioner replaced and ECU repaired as dealer fixed a P1321 error, the codes cleared and CEL was clear for around 150km. Now they're back and I'm not feeling too confident in the dealer now.

OBD2 stats below. I have no clue what these might help point to but hoping someone on here might! Cheers, Mark

The P1123 and P1125 code pairs usually indicate a failing MAF sensor. You can try clearing the code and cleaning the sensor with some of the CRC sensor cleaner spray (silver can, available in most parts stores) but the sensors have what seems like a fairly high failure rate and you will probably end up replacing it eventually.

When this happened to me, clearing the codes and cleaning the sensor would keep the check engine light off for a few thousand miles and then one or both of the codes would return. I did notice a big improvement in the way the car idled and responded to the throttle once I finally replaced the sensor.

Unplug the sensor (Item 3 is the sensor). Remove the two T20 security Torx screws (Item 4). Replace the sensor and tighten screws. Plug electrical connection back in.
