does anyone know where the oil sending unit is or the cable that attaches to it? i am having an intermittent issue with the oil pressure gauge faulting out between one and second gear when i first drive the car.

Yours would look like the one with the green arrow, and would be on the left side of the engine; the inset photo is what one for a Boxster would look like):

Left side of engine on the right side of the car.
Use a crows foot and extension from the bottom of the car. Or come in from the top, it's just more crowded. [img]![]()

I just changed mine. Take off the right rear tire. It's a very tight spot. You need a stubby open end wrench and some band aids. I found that taking the wires off was easier from the top of the engine. I just couldn't get a tool on it from the top. Good luck.
