996 to 997 Seat Conversion ?

I recently sold my 06 CaymanS and replaced it with an 03 996TT.

I love the car...except the seat is killing me (comfort wise). I had no issue with the Cayman seat, but I just can't take this seat for much longer.

My question I need help with:

1. Does anyone know if the standard, non-sport seat used in an 06 CaymanS is the same standard seat in a similiar year 997?

2. Has anyone done a 996 to 997 swap? I'm hearing that the electrical is not plug and play...but would like to confirm that.
