Anyone Michelin TB-5 tires on the track?

Hi
I was wondering if anyone has run these tires and how do they compare to something like the TD-S Hoosier or the new TD-R if anyone has tried that??

Michelin TB 5.

Hello.

I run with the Michelin TB5 on my race car.

Class rules state that we must run with street approved tires in the 1971-class.

Let me know what you need.

Thanks - Olsen911 - Tommy Olsen

I use TB5s on my 69 track day toy. Its still in a "sorting out bugs" phase, so I haven't been pushing it hard.
What tire pressures (hot) are you running?
Have you figured out what camber settings that works best, do they like a lot or less?

Michelin TB-5

Hello Magnus.

We start out with 1.5 BAR / 21.75 PSI on fronts and 1.4 BAR / 20.30 PSI on rears and see about 2 BAR / 29.00 on both at the end of the session - 15 minutes + 1 lap.

We run 1.5° on fronts and about 2° on rears and the car handles well.

Thanks - Olsen911 - Tommy Olsen

Thanks. I think I need to lower my pressure then, I ran 2.2-2.4 something.

I have a lot more camber, I think its ok in the front but in the rear I'll try 2°.

Coming back to this...thanks for the info. I would have thought they would need a little more cold pressure. Have you ever run the Avons Or Hoosier TD-R? do you think the TB5 is superior?

bumping this...I'm torn between these and the Hoosier TD-R tires. Anyone run both. If not what has the TB-5 performed like?
