Track air pressure for Hoosier TDR's

I have some 16x9 Fuchs and 16x11 Weidman weldups mounted with Hoosier BiasPly Vintage TDR 24.0x8.5-16s for the fronts and 25.5x10.0-16s for the rears that I want to take to the track. (My usual setup are R7's on some 17's) Does anyone on the forum track the TDR's? And if so what tire pressures do you recommend? Thanks in advance, Rob

I haven't run them myself, may get a better response in a vintage racing forum

RR711,

I have the same size TDR’s on a race 911 . Try starting at 24/26. Hot 30/32. Been racing on Bias ply for 8 seasons and love the feel n slip angle. Get use to feeling of the tires moving under you. Also align for the tires.

Kevin: Thanks for the input. I knew that there had to be a well informed vintage aficionado that would chime in. I will do as you suggest. These will go on a backdate RSR tribute dedicated race car. Thanks again. Feel free to offer any additional recommendations. Rob

I run them a little lower on a 911 22/23 cold 28 range hot.

Fubawu

Thanks for the additional pressure info. Much appreciated. Any additional tips?

They need less camber around the 1-1.5 in the rear
These are bias tires so they slide around a bit, predictable.
It will take about three laps to get up to temp

Fubawu: Thanks!

Thanks to 70ts911 and Fubawu. I ran these at INDE Motorsports Ranch near Willcox AZ with a bunch of racing friends all day this past Saturday and I loved them. All that rubber gives you giant grip. And talk about predictable! They are great.
