Roll Bar Install
I'd like to get a roll bar for my Cab so I can run some DE's. I've researched and found several options.
Option #1 DAS Sportsystems - "true bolt-in" - $800 Option #2 Autopower - bolt-in $300 http://www.upgrademotoring.com/safety/autopower.htm It seems alot of the racers are running the Autopower, but everyone here talks of the DAS. I figure I'd only use it a few times a year. So why is the DAS so much and is the Autopower ok? I don't mind cutting some flaps in my carpet and installing backing plates, I would assume you'd need them for either bar. JG

An Autopower is the bare minimum to pass a tech inspection. If it were up to me, they wouldn't be allowed, since they do not even attach to the structural part of the car. What good is a roll bar that is attached to the sheet metal floor? Bragging rights in front of Starbucks?

The DAS bar is good quality, and a perfect fit. It bolts up to the rear seat back points and the front seat belt points. It is a tru bolt-in - no drilling/welding, and completely reversible.
The Autopower bar requires nut plates welded to the floor pan and the rear wheel arch. Some criticism of the fat that the front location points is floor pan, which is not the strongest to take severe crash loads. I agree. YMMV. Also look at Safety Devices, distributed by Stable Energies. It requires welded nut plates, but the front location point is on the sills. Also can be ordered with removable diagonal and harness bar. Also can have the forward cage section added later - a unique feature.
