DE: any handling change with this setup?

Car is a stock 85 Carrera. I am running Toyo RA -1's 225/15 all around. Wheels are 7's in front and 8's in rear. I am thinking about changing to 7's all the way around and keeping the same tires. I want to do this so I can rotate tires front/rear to help even out the wear. Will I notice any change in handling with the 7's in the rear?

it is unlikely you will be able to notice a difference, the 7s will give the tire a slightly smaller contact patch, and slightly softer sidewall feel, this is because the sidel wlaa will be pulled in a little more. It is elimination of this that makes the 16x9 fuchs so popular, I have 8x16 and 9x16s and I can't tell which are on the car at any given time based on feel or lap times for that matter. There still is so much more I can improve in my drivng, the rim don't matter at all.

If it means you get more track time, I say go for it.
