Short Video of last race

Here is a short video of my last race in Buttonwillow. Clockwise 13. I was able to get down to a 2:04.323 (with a 2.0L motor)

Nice work Mark. Great clip - nothing like a knife fight. Did you get the teener in the end???? Enquiring minds need to know.

Nope, Never got around him. It was fun trying though. The guy in the Teener is actually the guy that builds my motors. Frank Beck. Very fast driver.

Yeah, it would have been fun to have Richard up there. I think he and I were running about the same lap times.

Thanks for the clip Mark! Question for you, are you planning on going the the Vintage Race on June18-20th at Cal Speedway? The one HSR is putting on. My son and I are heading down for a little fathers day weekend to watch. Be great to see you in action.

THanks Chris,

I do love the sound as well. I am running some new Mark Escuchie Headers and it breaths much better now.

Dan,
There is a slight chance I will be there. I have a few buddies running in that event. So I will be there no matter what. It just all depends if I have my car or not.

Mark,

I've got a set of those on my 3.0L now. Mark builds some nice cars up in Mequon... Some of the fastest vintage porsche's around are from his shop.

Yeah he builds some fast cars. It was fun racing against them in Daytona until my transmission blew up.. Oh well.

Mark, that video was great! I'm impressed by how lively your car is, and how much you have to work the steering to keep it straight. Are all the short wheel base 911's that way, or is that specific to your setup? I'd love to see a longer video of the race. I've watched a lot of the other videos on the Vara site -- fun!

Juan,

Most of the short SWB cars are that way when you drive them that hard. I have actually had the chance to drive other SWB cars that run with VARA. Mine actually handles better then most of them. They are a handfull, but boy are they fun to drive.
