Very nice to meet you and Russ last weekend. Sorry that things didn't work out as planned in the enduro. My understanding from speaking with some guys on Sunday is that rather few cars were still running towards the end.

Hope to meet up with you guys at a future event and volunteer my efforts to your team!

thanks so much for the help, I keep meaning to write a little summary of the day from hell, but I have not yet been able to get to it, so here is a short summary...

practice session: a missing cap (the little thing that screws onto the top of a spark plug) went awol, so the plug wire fell off and Russ had to bring the car in.

Qualifiying: after about four laps the "odd" clicking I heard as I pulled out turned into a big shake, a blown CV joint, we managed to find another in Bakersfield, back shelf of Barts Parts, in an inventory of an old Porsche shop thaey bought out years ago, so very lucky

Race: about 4-5 laps into the race the motor/clutch started a big shake, I tried to nurse it into the pits but it was dumping oil off the front of the motor onto the headers and started to smoke, so I was towed in.

So far with the motor out, but not apart, we know there is no compression in cylinder 5, hum, same one that had that spake plug cap go missing, hum... but no real idea what is the problem

Thanks again for signing up to help, sorry the race did not go better, first DNF of the season, on an up note, I think we will get half the points of the third place car, and that will lock up the series for us, I think....

I know Jay well, he provides support at all the PRC races to many of the cars. Great guy, and always willing to help.

The cai is in Sacramento, so IBP will be where we get the advice from, also a PRC racer.
